Your body has been talking to you for a long time: are you listening?
15 Oct 2026 · Basharat SadiqThe human body has an extraordinary capacity to adapt.
We can continue working after a bad night, fulfill our responsibilities even when we are tired, and gradually get used to certain discomforts.
That adaptability is important. However, it can also lead us to consider certain signs normal simply because we have learned to live with them.
Not everything that is common should become “normal”
“I’m always tired.”
“I sleep, but I feel like I don’t get any rest.”
“I’ve had less energy lately.”
“It hurts, but I’m used to it now.”
“It must be stress.”
These are phrases we hear frequently.
An isolated sign does not necessarily mean there is a health problem. But when a change persists, recurs, or begins to interfere with our quality of life, it deserves attention.
Persistent fatigue, significant changes in sleep, recurring discomfort, a marked decrease in physical capacity, or any unexplained change in our body can have multiple causes.
Ignoring them does not make them go away.
Listening to your body does not mean living in worry
Paying attention to our health does not mean interpreting every sensation as an illness.
It means knowing our body well enough to identify when something has changed.
It also means understanding when we can improve our habits and when it is appropriate to seek a professional evaluation.
A good relationship with our health begins precisely there: by observing, preventing, and acting responsibly.
Prevention begins with information
Knowing our family history, having regular medical checkups, and paying attention to important health indicators allows us to make better-informed decisions.
Prevention does not eliminate all risks, but it can help us identify and manage them in a timely manner.
Our body accompanies us throughout our lives. Learning to listen to it should be part of how we take care of ourselves.
At the Center for Regenerative Medicine and the CMR Store, we promote a culture of well-being in which everyone actively participates in caring for their health.
Do not wait for a sign to become stronger before paying attention to it.
Listening to your body is also a way of taking care of it.
